What a way to start off our indoor season! We are extremely proud of the 18 athletes who attended the Stay In Your Lane Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, SC.
ATOS Girls
Our girls had an electrifying start to their indoor season! This was the first time many of our girls ever participated in indoor track. Our returning girls set to PRs in many of the events that they contested last year. Kourtney Horne started the meet by qualifying for the girls’ 55m hurdle finals. She finished 2nd overall (8.52). Alayah Thomas qualified for the girls’ 55m dash finals. She finished 5th overall (7.25). Alana Braxton won the girls long jump (18-0.5) and triple jump (38-08). Patience Grant won the girls’ 300m dash (40.63).
We had several girls finish in the top 25 in several events: 55m hurdles: Sierra Robinson finished 25th (10.99); 55m dash: Illyana Pannell finished 23rd (7.56) and Patience Grant finished 25th (7.57); 300m dash: Alayah Thomas finished 10th (42.01), Sierra Robinson finished 15th (42.75), Kourtney Horne finished 43.60.
Overall, the girls had an excellent start to their indoor season opener.

Our boys had a fantastic start to their indoor season as well. Dysin Birch lead the charge for our boys in the 55m dash (6.67) finishing 12th overall. Jayshawn Palmer leads the way for the boys 300m finishing 27th (37.49). Several of the boys set new PRs and we are looking forward to their continued progress throughout the season.
