Indoor Track & Field

Youth Track & Field Program

A Touch of Speed®’s indoor track and field program is specifically designed for high school athletes seeking to compete during the fall and winter months, leading up to the outdoor season. Unlike outdoor track, indoor track has unique features and challenges. Competitions take place on either flat or banked 200-meter tracks, and the range of field events is more limited compared to outdoor meets. Additionally, the events offered during the indoor season often differ slightly, providing athletes with new opportunities to test their skills and prepare for the upcoming outdoor season..

Our organization actively engages in youth track and field events sanctioned by AAU and USATF. We provide comprehensive training opportunities for athletes, offering indoor and outdoor track and field sessions to enhance their skills and performance.

Age Requirement

Must be in high school.

Team Rules and Requirements

  1. All athletes must maintain an overall C average. 
  2. Report cards or interim report is required. 
  3. All athletes must complete a physical. If a physical form is not provided by the second week of practice, the athlete cannot return until a completed physical form is provided. 
  4. To travel, all athletes must attend practice regularly. Exceptions are made for athletes participating in other sports.
  5.  All athletes must participate in team fundraising efforts.

Indoor & Off-Season

Registration Opens:

Who Can Register:
High School Athletes (Grades 9–12)

Program Costs

  • Season Expenses: $586
  • Registration Fee: $300
    • Deposit: $150 minimum due at registration to secure spot & order uniforms
    • Balance: Final payment due by October 10, 2025
  • Payment Plan: Second payment due the following month
  • Additional Costs: Meet entry fees, travel, and hotel are not included

*Fundraising is required to help cover additional team expenses.

*Spots are very limited due to returning athletes.

Training Only Option

We will offer 5 non-travel training spots for high school athletes.

  • Monthly Fee: $75
  • Note: These athletes will train with the team but will not compete in meets.

  • Tuesday: 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 6:30 PM (Weight Training)
  • Thursday: 6:30 PM
  • Sunday: 2:30 PM

  • Feb 6, 2026 – Camel City Sprints (Jr & Sr Only – College Exposure), JDL (Winston Salem, NC)
  • Feb 7–8, 2026 – Tyron Coach O International Festival (Mills Springs, NC)
  • Mar 12–15, 2026 – Nike Indoor Nationals (Qualifiers Only), The Armory (New York, NY) *Must meet qualifying standards

 Registration Requirements

  • 9th Grade: Report Card
  • 10th–12th Grade: Unofficial Transcript
  • Completed Physical (Signed by Physician)
  • $150 Deposit (Due at registration)
