A Touch of Speed (ATOS) is a youth Track and Field organization located in North Charleston, South Carolina. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for youth athletes in the Tri-County area. To ensure each athlete achieve the highest level of competition to further transcend their lives and to challenge their minds, bodies, and content of character one step at a time.
A Touch of Speed has an awesome coaching staff that is dedicated to helping youth athletes become the best athlete’s they can be.
Our coaching staff have the following certifications:
- USATF Level I
- USATF Level II Sprint, Hurdles, and Jumps
- USATF Level II Youth Specialization
About our Founder
Eboni Thompkins-Webber is the founder of A Touch of Speed. She was born and raised in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She attended and graduated from Sheffield High School. She was an important member of the traditionally strong Sheffield Track and Field Team as a hurdler and triple jumper. She held the Alabama High School Outdoor State 100 Meter Hurdle Record for three years. During her senior year she led the team to a third place finish in the State 4A Track and Field Championships finishing first in the 100 meter hurdles, the long jump and the triple jump. After high school she attend the University of South Alabama. She was a proud member of the lady Jaguar Track and Field team. She helped the Lady Jaguars Track and Field Team win two Sunbelt Conference Championships. In 2019, she was inducted into the Colbert County Sports Hall of Fame.
Her passion for Track and Field, education, and community is what birthed A Touch of Speed. Her goal is to educate, encourage and support youth athletes. To ensure they understand education is just as important as being an athlete.
